Ffos Las opened in 2009 on the site of a former opencast mine in west Wales, making it one of Britain’s newest racecourses. A left-handed, essentially flat track that hosts both flat and National Hunt racing. The drainage is excellent, so it rarely rides as heavy as you might expect.
